This ceramic house has been handmade using a dark, stoneware clay, slab-built and hand manipulated to create the form. The roof of this ceramic house has been textured using pine cones foraged from natural surrounds. Hand-painted in a creamy, white tone, light speckles of the clay can been seen through the glaze. There is a small hole on the roof of the house where the chimney would of been, so that a sprig of foliage can be placed accordingly. Pear Tree House located in Sandy Lane , Lowton, in the English county of Cheshire, is a place of childhood memories for me, my best friend at high school lived there and given every opportunity I would walk, run or cycle from my house to hers.
Each piece is individual, bearing the same colours and similarities, with subtle differences in glaze and size.
All items are food safe and dishwasher safe. Please remember that hand-washing is always kinder to your hand-crafted item.
