This hand-built utensil holder/vase has been crafted out of an earthy, stoneware clay and hand painted in a soft, white tone. Speckles of the clay can be seen peeking through the glaze to give this piece a speckled snow appearance. This piece lends itself to be either a utensil holder or a vase.
Named after the village that I grew up in, Lowton is a place in the north of England, in the county of Cheshire. The word Lowton derives from the old English word ' tun" meaning farm. Surprisingly when I was thinking of a name for this range I actually thought about calling it the farmhouse collection.
Each piece is individual, bearing the same colours and similarities, with subtle differences in glaze and size. The rim of the vase is not perfectly round, you could say "Perfect Imperfect" just how I like it!
All items are food safe and dishwasher safe. Please remember that hand-washing is always kinder to your hand-crafted item.
