The Winter Hill Mug is tall, handsome and sturdy and a great feel in the hand. The perfect mug to drink your medicine of choice. This piece has been handmade using an earthy, stoneware clay, slab-built and hand manipulated to create the form. Textured using pine cones foraged from natural surrounds. Named after a hill located on Rivington Moor, which on a clear day offers views of four national parks: the Lake District, Yorkshire Dales, Peak District and Snowdonia. Hand-painted in white, giving a speckled snow appearance, reminiscent of the Winter sun dancing across the wintry landscape of this location.
Each piece is individual, bearing the same colours and similarities, with subtle differences in glaze and size. The rim of the mug is not perfectly round, you could say "Perfect Imperfect" just how I like it!
All items are food safe and dishwasher safe. Please remember that hand-washing is always kinder to your hand-crafted item.
