The Winter Fields Wall hanging has been hand-crafted out of an earthy, stoneware clay, the clay has been carved and then textured using natural, foraged finds such as tree bark, seed pods, pine cones amongst others. It has been hand-painted in a creamy, white tone, light speckles of the clay can been seen through the glaze. This decorative piece has been inspired by a network of farming fields in the countryside of Glazebury, in the county of Cheshire in the North of England, I have called this piece Winter Fields as the colour is reminiscent of snow covering the fields.
Each piece is individual, bearing the same colours and similarities, with subtle differences in glaze and size and in this case size and shape of each different field.
